Gareth Bale Hair Transplant

The game of football continues to evolve with each passing year. Players arise, who are way better than their contemporaries and some even overlap icons from the previous generations. Gareth Bale is one of those players. He is a well-rounded player that can run fast, dribble like a wizard and shoot a goal like a sniper. Defenders are baffled on how to defend against him and strikers are intimidated when he goes defending after them. He currently plays forward for Real Madrid and has already won 2 championships with the team.

Behind his illustrious career, a mystery lies about his hair. When he was younger, he was donning short cropped hairstyles. But, later on, he started growing his hair and had the man bun as his signature hairstyle. It turns out, he was hiding a bald patch underneath that man bun. People have been tweeting about it and posting similar photos to myriad social media platforms. He was riled by all the bashes and rants of the people on the web that he opted to have a hair transplant, as advised by his Welsh teammate, Joe Ledley.

Gareth Bale’s man bun is the culprit for his hair loss?

Upon close inspection on Gareth Bale, you can see that he has a thinning crown and a receding hairline. These manifestations point out to male-patterned baldness. Aside from the thinning hair on his crown he also has a bald spot on the back of his head.

It’s not clear whether he intentionally did man buns to cover up his bald spot or the bald spot was the result of the stress that his man bun was straining on his scalp. But, to give him justice, according to the studies conducted by the researchers at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, certain hairstyles (braids and man buns) that put too much stress on the scalp could lead to hair loss. The condition is called traction alopecia.

There’s no certainty as to what factors caused the sudden hair loss on Gareth Bale’s scalp. There’s a high probability, though, that his man buns were detrimental to his hair growth. The constant pressure exerted by his man bun on his scalp could have lead to traction alopecia.

Lessen the probability of hair loss.
