METHODS USED IN HAIR IMPLANTATION

One of them is called FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) and, the other one is called FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). Both of these techniques have been used by surgeons for many years now. They have different ways of taking the donor, healthy hair. They require different surgical processes and different expertise. The most important difference between these two operations is how the graft is taken. FUT method leaves linear scars that can be seen for some time after the surgery. However, the part where the healthy hair is taken from is not completely shaved in FUT.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FUT AND FUE METHODS

 The FUT method can be seen as a partially newly discovered operation. While the FUT method has been used since the 1950s, the FUE method has only been used since the 1990s. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method is a more modern and easy way of dealing with hair loss. In the FUE method donor part is partially shaved and, the healthy hair that is collected is collected individually. Following the FUE there are generally red spots on the donor area, where the hair is transplanted. These red spots are relatively large and visible and, also, they may stay visible for some time. Is hair transplant operation painful?
