FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair follicles in the method, local anesthesia using special micro motor with single-ended on the angle and direction of the natural hair growth on bald areas are placed considering.
Today, most of the operations are performed by FUE hair transplantation method. The fact that it does not require surgical intervention causes patients to decide more easily and prefer this technique.
FUE method of hair is transplanted to the balding area on attention, one by one. Before the root removal, the hair in the donor area is cut and shortened to 1 mmThe hair follicle is taken with a local anesthetic drug and the area where the hair transplantation will be performed is anaesthetized micro motor tip is brought closer to the center of the hair shaft and placed on the skin based on the angle of hair growth. The hair is cut in a cylindrical shape together with the follicle and the microscopic tissue surrounding it. It is carefully pulled with micro forceps and the follicular unit is removed from the loose base.
The automatic system minimizes the damage to the grafts in the operation. In this way, operation times are shortened and the number of grafts taken per unit time increases. After the follicular units are collected in this way, they are carefully placed in the small holes opened in the balding area. Each follicular unit contains approximately 2 to 3 follicles.
Post-Operativie Instructions
Please follow the recommendations for the postoperative period. These recommendations will help you make the postoperative period and wound healing as comfortable and symptom-free as possible. Hair transplantation is a complex procedure that can be associated with certain complications. You can minimize the risk of these complications if you follow the instructions suggested here carefully. Any activity that goes against medical advice can unfortunately increase complications and reduce expected results.
Care of the Implanted Area
Day 0 (the evening of the surgery day)
⦁ Remove the bandages from the back of the head, spread the diaper over the pillow (with the absorbent, harder side facing up) to absorb the wound exudate, take the antibiotic and pain reliever given after dinner, sleep at night so that the pillow and implanted area do not touch. The back of the head (the area where the graft is taken) can touch the pillow smoothly.
1-3 Days
⦁ In the morning, wash the back of your head with warm water and wash away any dried blood clots.
⦁ Spray the provided solution bottle (2-3 sprays) every two hours onto the implanted area.
4-5 Days
⦁In the evening, soak the whole head with a gentle, warm water for 15-20 minutes, then dry the remaining water with a towel if needed, and make very careful and delicate movements.
6 days
⦁ After soaking in water for 15-20 minutes (in bath or shower), wash the implanted area with baby shampoo, make very gentle finger movements to wash off small crusts.
⦁ This washing should finish until the scabs in the plant area fall off . Do not rub the shells. For the first time, not all crusts need to be removed!
The visible upper part of the transplanted hair may fall off 1-4 weeks after the operation. Since the hair follicles stay where they were placed and within 5-6 months, there is no cause for concern.after surgery they begin to grow; Approximately 12 months after the operation, they catch those tiny hairs that do not shed within 1-4 weeks after the operation and thus constantly grow.
Bandage
⦁ After hair transplantation, patients are discharge with a bandage on the back of their head. This bandage should remove before going to bed on the day of surgery.
Bleeding
⦁ After surgery, there may be some leakage of completely normal exudate from both the donor and the implanted area. In the unlikely event, if you experience continuous bleeding, apply continuous, steady pressure to the bleeding area with a sterile gauze pad for about 15 minutes.
Sleeping
⦁ First , it is not recommend to lie face down and sleep as this position may cause swelling of the face. Sleep with your head raised to 30 ° for 3 days. It is appropriate to use more pillows or a raised mattress for this. Finally, Inflatable neck pillows used in airplanes can help with the correct positioning of your head.
Pain and Swelling
⦁ In most cases severe pain is not uncommon, along with some minor ailments. However, some patients may experience headaches near the donor area. In this case, use prescribed or other over-the-counter pain relievers. Please do not use tools or machines while taking pain medication. In some cases, there may be swelling around the forehead on the 3rd and 4th days. The day after surgery, it usually takes only 2-3 days. So, this swelling can spread, causing temporary swelling around the eyes and nose. In such cases, we recommend a cold compress on the forehead for 15-15 minutes 2-3 times a day.
Wound Healing and Washing
⦁ Allow your head to ventilate freely, avoid anything that could block the airway after the operation, continue a comfortable lifestyle, do not force it for at least 3 weeks, avoid alcoholic beverages for at least 1-2 weeks after surgery. Finally ,Do not smoke for at least 2 weeks after surgery, avoid any medication that can affect blood flow.
Scalp Acne
In rare cases, small, swollen pimple-like pouches (cysts) may appear around the hair follicles 2-3 months after hair transplantation. In fact, small bubbles occur in the first month after hair transplantation because new hair grows from the skin layers and breaks. Although, this process is natural, it can easily be mistaken for an infection. In most cases, the blisters open up on their own and disappear within a few days of taking the medication. If the donor area is clogg this may indicate infection.
Infections
If the donor area becomes block, swollen, and tender, this could indicate infection. Fever or low fever can also be indicative of inflammation. If these symptoms occur, contact our clinic and we will help you. So, to prevent infection, please follow these recommendations:
⦁ Avoid dirty and dusty environments that can be a source of infection for the first week.
⦁ Use the antibiotics that your doctor gives you.
Keep the operate areas and their surroundings clean.
